Mr Chin Rui Xiang

Executive Director

Mr Chin graduated with a Bachelor of Building and Project Management programme (BBPM) which is a partnership program between Singapore University of Social Sciences and BCA Academy.

He has previously worked in a variety of management roles in listed construction companies and hotel management companies whilst being based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He has overseen operations of one major project and assisted in securing two other projects in Vietnam. As the Executive Director of the Group. he is well versed in business development as well as deal structuring to safeguard listed companies' interests.

Mr Chin Bay Ching

Chairman

With a diversified portfolio in construction and managing millions of dollars projects, Mr Chin has the expertise in project cost estimations, negotiations and ideal outlook on budget and cost analysis. He was holding an executive director position in a public listed company in Singapore during the early 1990s. He was also involved in hotels and developments, shopping and office building Apollo Centre and even managed A$300 million Marina Cove in Australia Construction in March 1996.  

Mr Chin was responsible for the construction of 463 berths, 2 yacht fuel pumps, 197 villas hotel and restaurants of 92 hectares. He has also managed a team of 30 engineers and workers. 

As the chairman of the group, Mr Chin had the vision to purchase and build his first property from scratch and has successfully opened more properties back in the early 2010s. He was involved in every stage from design, development, regulations, projects and any other stages.

Mr Sonny Wing Doug Wong

Project Director

With a background in Applied Science and Geological Engineering, Sonny has built up his career at UEM Sunrise Berhad. He was where he was secondment to M+S Pte Ltd. He managed big projects such as Marina One and Duo where he had to run the feasibility analysis, market research, coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities and assisted in monitoring and updating on development programme, cash flow, budget and of course the value engineering analysis and comparative studies of rates and costs.

Mr Philip Cyril Raj

Chief Executive Officer

Philip is an experienced hotelier with over 30 years of hospitality experience in Asia with a proven track record of successfully introducing innovative concepts and service delivery standards. He is currently managing as Group General Manager for Bay Hotels & Resorts. He set up and operated the previous Bay Hotel Singapore, is still running Bay Hotel Ho Chi Minh and is  working on new projects in Danang & Hoi An.

Prior to the success of the group, he also held roles in Director of Hotel Development at Millennium & Copthorne International where he managed new projects in the Asia Pacific region including Singapore, India, China, Thailand and Vietnam. He was also advising City Development Group (CDL) on new hotel projects such as W Hotel Sentosa and South Beach. 

He has also pre-opened projects in China’s Chengdu, Wu Xi, Taichung and Shanghai. Philip worked on Studio M and handled all aspects of the project from sales, marketing, branding, budgeting, information technology, rooms and human resources. 

Prior to that, he was instrumental in pioneering two successful luxury boutique brands - Naumi Hotel and Scarlet Hotel. He has also contributed to Grand Hyatt, Meridien Changi, The Intercontinental Hotel, Harbour View and Royal Peacock Hotel. He has attained accolades such as the “The Best New Hotel Worldwide”, in the Travelers Hot List and “One of the Best New Hotels in the World” by the Luxury Travel Magazine.

With life-long learning as his philosophy, Philip has completed his Master of Business Administration and Management with Singapore Management University despite his busy schedules in 2017. He is also a proud alumni of SHATEC, Singapore’s first industry school opened by Singapore Hotels Association (SHA).

Ms May Chia

Group Finance Director

With all things figures at her fingertips, May is an expert in churning reports and presenting them for P&L meetings etc. 

May was with the corporate office of Far East Hospitality for many years, from being an accountant and taking care of her finance team. At Bay Hotels & Resorts, May is in charge of working on opening budgets, keeping track of numbers and helps to run through contracts and manpower etc too.

Ms Jamie Chua

Group Marketing Communications Director

Armed with a Bachelors in Commerce with a double major in Marketing and Hospitality Resort Management and Diploma in Tourism and Resort Management, Jamie was certain about pursuing a career in hospitality.

She started her formal work life in sales and marketing before the opportunity to focus solely on marketing in the F&B sector emerged. Since then, Jamie has worked on numerous brands and produced many unique campaigns for store launches, festive promotions and more, including international brands like Minor Food Group. Brands under her care have also achieved numerous influential brand awards. 

Prior to her current role, she also worked on B2B marketing for an international hospitality technology firm and took on regional expansion and organized events in India, South Korea and China. Now at Bay Hotels & Resorts, Jamie leads group marketing communication efforts and brand development for existing regional properties as well as those in the pipeline. She takes care of the full spectrum of marketing and communications, including public relations efforts and partnerships too.

Ms Rozana Read

Director of Operations

Rozana has close to 20 years of experience in hospitality operations. Throughout her career, she has managed various operations and performed different roles including working direct with owners. Being a preacher of service excellence, Rozana is always conducting training and workshops for everyone, ensuring that everyone can help to spark joy to their co-workers and guests. This has resulted in tremendous positive reviews and emails sent by guests complimenting the hotel. 

Focusing on constant research and development, including re-inventing the wheel on many occasions, emphasizing with quality in products and services delivery, through constant engagement with guests, has always been her key focus. Her mentality has helped hotels thrive with sustainable and growth. 

Her passion is being made possible with all the pre-opening and setting up of new entities, working on concepts and the most memorable opening experience will be opening hotels in Vietnam. She was previously running operations for Millennium & Copthorne M Hotel  and also the boutique Moon Hotel.
